Nickelodeon's award winning animated series, Blue's Clues, established a unique new visual style and invited Nick's youngest viewers to play-along and think-along. We consulted with Nickelodeon's directors of licensing and creative development on how to adapt the show’s rich visual style and interactive concept successfully for the apparel, accessories and home furnishings markets. We proposed an approach that integrated diverse viewpoints and priorities, and successfully united three different divisions within Nickelodeon behind one solution. We developed a 50 page style guide and content — color palettes, art elements, icons, and patterns — for licensees to work with, and guidelines for how to create product that would reflect the interactive format of the show. In addition to the initial launch of guide, we also developed content for “Hook Books” which offered trend direction and new creative assets on a seasonal basis.
