Nickelodeon’s award winning animated series, Blue’s Clues, established a unique new visual style and invited Nick’s youngest viewers to play-along and think-along. We consulted with Nickelodeon’s directors of licensing and creative development on how to successfully adapt the show’s visual style and interactive concept for the apparel, accessories and home furnishings markets. We came up with an approach that maintained the integrity of the show’s unique features, but also met practical requirements for manufacturing. We developed a 50 page style guide with color palettes, an extensive collection of art, icons, and patterns for licensees to work with, and guidelines for how to create product that would reflect the interactive format of the show.
